Z -- MEDIUM-WAVE ANTENNA CONSTRUCTION POC Contracting Officer, Patrick Folts, FAX 011-49-8024-903350 The International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) has an immediate requirement to construct towers, guy anchor and tower concrete foundations, guy wires and associated hardware, and a buried ground radial system for an in-line three tower medium-wave antenna system at its Holzkirchen Relay Station in Germany. Work involves the construction of two of the three antenna towers using GFE tower sections and modification/height reduction of the existing third tower. All towers will require new concrete guy anchor and tower foundations and new guy wire and attachment hardware. Additionally, the existing ground radial system will require partial demolition and a new ground radial system will be installed. All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable German codes and regulations and payment will be made using local currency. An on-site pre-proposal meeting will be mandatory for all prospective offerors in order to be thoroughly acquainted with the active broadcast conditions under which the work must be performed. The RFP is planned to be issued during June 1996, with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. An in-country contract award will be made in Germany. The contract performance period is estimated to be 75 days. The estimated construction cost range is between $100,000 - $250,000.
