The US Army Corps of Engineers, on behalf of the Government of Egypt, shall award a firm fixed price contract for metal working equipment for the Egyptian Armament Authority. Project Scope: The contractor shall consolidate all equipment and supplies at one location for inspection by the Transatlantic Program Center. After inspection the contractor will provide the Egyptian Freight Forwarder with a notice of availability, for a one time shipment of all equipment, ultimate destination; Cairo, Egypt. Evaluation factors are: (a) Past Performance, (b) Specialized Experience, and (c) Price. Contractors will be limited to US Firms or US and Egyptian Joint Ventures. Egyptian firms in order to be eligible to receive this award must be independently owned and not partially or wholly owned or otherwise affiliated with the Government of Egypt or its agencies. Performance guarantees will be required. Tentative date for issuance of Request for Proposals DACA78-96-R-0024 is June 11, 1996. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is July 11, 1996.
