MK Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for the supply of a Pump Dredge to be used in conjunction with a Chemical Stabilization/Solidification (CSS) Plant. Interested qualified parties should have the ability to provide equipment in compliance with design/hard specifications and stringent quality control procedures. Following is a brief description of the equipment anticipated to be required under the procurement action. PUMP DREDGE: This is a procurement for an electrically powered, remote operated, pontoon barge mounted pump dredge unit. Capacity of about 500 to 800 GPM at 30 PSIG discharge pressure. Complete with cutter-head to feed pump. Unit will be used to reclaim and slurry in-situ materials with 26 to 28 percent solids content, and with thixotropic properties. Suitable for operation with water cover up to 10 feet. Suitable for operation with 480 volt 3 phase power. Remote controls located up to 800 feet from dredge, on shore of sludge pit. Unit to be complete with all controls, starters, and accessories required for operation as described. Estimated magnitude of this procurement is between $100K and $250K (SIC CODE 3531).
