Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a
Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial
Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified
sources are being sought for the supply of Shop fabricated Silos, Bins
and Dust Collectors to be used in the construction of a Chemical
Stabilization/Solidification (CSS) Plant. Interested qualified parties
should have the ability to provide equipment in compliance with
design/hard specifications and stringent quality control procedures.
Following is a brief description of the equipment anticipated to be
required under the procurement action. SHOP FABRICATED SILOS, BINS, AND
DUST COLLECTORS: This is a procurement for four (4) shop fabricated
silos and bins, and six (6) cartridge filter dust collectors. The shop
fabricated silos and bins are required to store class C fly ash and/or
Portland cement. All units are conical bottom, including vibrating bin
activators, and are supported on structural legs. Two units are
14-foot diameter by 32-foot shell length and are designed for operation
at 15 PSIG operating pressure. Two units are 14-foot diameter by
14-foot shell length, and are designed for atmospheric operation. Units
contain various welded nozzles and appurtenances including caged
ladders, and must be shipped fully assembled to the extent possible.
Material of construction is mild steel. The cartridge filter dust
collectors with 99-percent efficiency of 0.5 micron dust particle size
are required. Four of the units include hoppers and the remaining two
mount directly to the silos they serve. Capacities vary between 1000
and 5000 SCFM. Casing pressure is 15 PSIG on the direct mounted units
and 30 inches of mercury on the stand alone units. Two of the stand
alone units include the associated blowers. The filters must be
designed for reverse pulsing. Estimated magnitude of this procurement
is between $500K and $1M (SIC CODE 3448). Suppliers interested in the
