MK Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for the supply of Gland Water Filters to be used in the construction of a Chemical Stabilization/Solidification (CSS) Plant. Interested qualified parties should have the ability to provide equipment in compliance with design/hard specifications and stringent quality control procedures. Following is a brief description of the equipment anticipated to be required under the procurement action. GLAND WATER FILTERS: This is a procurement for two (2) identical multi-media sand filters manifolded and connected into a parallel system including ASME stamped filter tanks, granular filter media, interconnecting piping, distribution header, fittings, gauges, and all necessary valves and controls for automatic backwashing mounted on a structural steel skid. Minimum flow rate of 93 GPM with 0-2% fine solids (minus 300 mesh). One filter is on-line the second is on standby or in backwash cycle. Estimated magnitude of this procurement is less than $25K (SIC CODE 3569).
