Foley, GP22/Contracting Officer, 205-544-0335 This notice is a combined Synopsis/RFQ for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as a supplement with additional information included in this notice -- This notice serves as the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued -- This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for Two 256 super density memory kits for SGI Onyx workstation -- The memory kits are to be equivalent to Silicon Graphics upgrade part no. H4-256-ADD-D1--Each memory board should consist of 8 banks, with the sockets physically arranged in blocks of four -- 2-way interleaving can be accomplished by filing corresponding banks on one board -- 4-way interleaving can be accomplished by filing corresponding banks across two boards -- 8-way interleaving can be accomplished by using four boards -- Each system can support up to four memory boards -- Various configurations up to 16 GB are possible depending on the number of CPU's and memory boards used -- Quantity 2 ea -- This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) -- The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 90-37 -- This procurement is a total small business set-aside -- Delivery to MSFC (FOB Destination) is required within 30 days ARO -- Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 -- The quoter shall complete FAR 52.212-3 and submit it as part of their quote -- FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 are applicable -- The quoter shall state in their quote their size status for this procurement as well as whether they are minority or woman-owned -- The SIC code and the size standard for this procurement are 3577 and 1000 employees respectively -- If other than the brand name identified is quoted, then the quoter shall indicate the manufacturer, brand, and model/part number quoted and provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the brand name identified-- The quoter shall provide a description (including manufacturer, brand, and model no.) in sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the specifications included in this notice -- If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled ''Buy American Act -- Supplies,'' the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin -- The quoter shall identify place of performance in their quote -- The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9 -- Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing no later than May 13, 1996 -- Companies shall notify this office of their intent to submit a quote -- Transmission by facsimile to 205-544-9080 or by Internet e-mail to teresa.foley@msfc.nasa.gov is acceptable -- Quotations (including FAR 52.212-3, Representations and Certifications which may be obtained via the internet at ''http://procure.msfc.nasa.gov/proc_ref.html'' or at ''ftp://procure.msfc.nasa.gov/reps_certs/sats/'') are due on May 22, 1996, to the address specified above to the attention of Teresa A.
