Eskenazi, 301/443-2696 The purpose of this contract is to continue the efforts which began five years ago. The successful contractor will a) establish, maintain, and store permanent cell lines derived from lymphoblast cell lines supplied by the ten established research centers in the ''Diagnostic Centers for Psychiatric Linkage Studies'' cooperative agreement; b) perform large-scale cell culture expansions for DNA isolation and storage; c) receive aliquoted, frozen, and stored; d) ship cell lines, DNA, or plasma to centers and selected researchers outside the cooperative with written permission from the government project officer; e) maintain a computerizes database on cell lines and selected clinical and demographic data. In keeping with the goal of NIMH, it is anticipated that the genetic material from the Cell Repository will be made avaliable to the science community as a national resource to further study the genetic basis of vulnerability to these disorders. RFP #NIMH-95-CR-0002 is scheduled for issuance on or about 15 days after publication of this notice and will close approximately 55 calendar days thereafter.
