and four (4) option years for the proper transportation, treatment and
disposal of Infectious Waste as defined by regulation at
Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB) OH, Defense Construction Supply Center
(DCSC) in Columbus, OH, AGMC/SGPOO in Newark, OH and the Defense
Electronic Supply Center (DESC) in Dayton OH. The objective of this
effort is to provide WPAFB with a means of proper treatment and final
disposal of infectious waste generated at the above mentioned federal
facilities. Inherent in this project are control, storage, handling,
disposal, reporting, training and manifesting. Environmental and
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance with
local, state, federal and Air Force standards will be the primary
focus, with regulatory changes as they relate to infectious waste
incorporated in a timely manner. Emphasis will be placed on the safe
handling of infectious waste. Respondents must demonstrate previous
experience in developing and implementing infectious waste contracts in
the following areas: infectious waste handling, transportation,
treatment and final disposal. Respondents must demonstrate a competency
and working knowledge of local, state, federal and Air Force
environmental and safety programs and indicate how experience was
gained in becoming familiar with regulations for infectious waste
handling, transportation, treatment and disposal. Respondents must
demonstrate capability in the proper disposal of Regulated Garbage,
regulated by United States Department of Agriculture as well as any
other unique items related to WPAFB. Respondents must demonstrate
ability to obtain all required permits pertaining to the above disposal
required in this effort. Respondents must demonstrate subcontracting
capabilities as they may be required on this effort. Respondents should
state size and type of company. Respondents should indicate whether
they are small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), woman-owned, or large
