Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform routine homepier dockside repairs to the USCGC Durable (WMEC-628). The items which may be performed include but are not limited to the following: 1. Welding Repairs. 2. Overhaul and upgrade Hydraulic Pump Unit. 3. Overhaul Emergency Generator. 4. Lower Ship's Service Generator. 5. Clean Galley, Scullery, Laundry, and Engine Room Ventilation System(s). 6. Renew #1 and #2 Reduction Gear Components. 7. Overhaul and Weight Test Motor Surf Boat Davit Assembly. 8. Hydrostatically Test Air Receivers, Potable Water Tanks, and Auxiliary Boilers. 9. Stage Mist. 10. Provide Temporary Logistics. 11. Renew Ground Bonding. 12. Provide Temporary Messing. Homeport is St. Petersburg, FL. Vessel length is 210'. Vessel availability schedule is 15 Oct 1996. The place of performance will be at the vessel's homepier in St Petersburg, FL. There will be a non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the US Coast Guard in the amount of $100.00 for requested US Coast Guard specification reference drawings. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small businesses. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 20 May 1996. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
