Valovcin, Phone (703)604-0757 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a contract to Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), 444 Solomon Circle, Sparks, Nevada 89434, for the efforts associated with providing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the Common Automatic Recovery System (CARS). The CLS effort will establish the logistics support infrastructure for CARS. CLS requirements will include, as a minimum, the establishment of a CARS depot, maintenance, spares, supply support, training, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation. SNC is the sole designer and developer of the CARS and as such is the only known source which possesses the requisite knowledge and skills necessary to provide the Contractor Logistics Support for the system.
