Eskenazi, 301/443-2696 The purpose of this contract is to continue the implementation and expand the impact of Depression Awareness, Recognition, and Treatment (D/ART) National Worksite Program, one of three major components of the D/ART Program. Tasks to be performed under this contract include: a) consultation and technical assistance to major corporations regarding technical approaches to identifying need and implementation policies and practices aimed at improving the management of depression in the workplace; b) development of a ''best practices: initiative that will include identifying corporate programs with regard to management of depression in the workplace; participation of these companies in D/ART; developing a ''best practices'' proceedings document for dissemination to employers, business press, professional organizations, etc.; c) evaluate the outcome of training programs developed as an outgrowth of the National Worksite Program's Employee Assistance program; d) develop communications and liaison activities including development and distribution of Issue Briefs on '' cutting edge'' topics; e) tracking the activities of major corporations related to the management of depression; f) conducting public relations activities focused on the worksite; and f) preparation of monthly annual and final reports.
