Carney (Site Code W31XNJ) The work to be performed under this contract is at various locations along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from approximately Navigation Mile (NM) 150, east to NM 356 in Apalachicola Bay, the Apalachicola, Chattahoochee, and Flint River System from approximately NM 36 to NM 154 and from Lake Seminole, FL to NM 24 in Decatur, GA. The levee site is located in Walton and Bay Counties, FL. The dredging site is located at Old Pass Lagoon in Destin, FL. The work for the disposal area sites will consist of raising dikes, construction of new areas, grading material, installing weirs, and ditching. Levee maintenance work will include mowing, fertilizing, ditching, vegetation control, excavation, grading and filling to maintain levee crown. Dredging will include removing shoaled material and placement on adjacent beach. Optional items of work are included in this project. This will be an Indefinite Delivery Contract. THIS IS A COMPETITIVE 8(A) SET-ASIDE as established by Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administration's (SBA) criterion, and have previously been certified by the SBA as an ''8(a) Contractor,'' are eligible to compete for this procurement and ultimately be awarded a subcontract from the SBA. For this procurement, it has been determined by SBA that competition will be restricted to 8(a) Firms which have SIC Code 1629 among their approved SIC Codes and which are serviced by the following SBA District Offices: Birmingham, AL; Jacksonville, FL; and Miami, FL.
