Notice of Contract Action. The Government intends to award a sole source Contract to TACTech, Inc. Currently, Hanscom AFB acquisition program offices and their prime contractors have the responsibility of evaluating their systems for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS). This evaluation requires data from various sources such as Government and Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP), Management of Microcircuits (MOM), Electronic Component Obsolescence of Microcircuits (ECOM), Information Handling Services (IHS) and TACTech. The purpose of this information service subscription is to provide the following features. 1) Provide REAL-TIME library updates as to changing availability in microcircuits, diodes, and transistors. Available information includes functionality, quality, packaging, cages codes, and vendor sales offices. 2) Provide life-cycle projections that predict how long specific active devices will remain in production. 3) Provide a support assessment that includes active sourcing support, life cycle projection, and will convert military specification devices to the commercial equivalent parts. 4) Provide an automated monitoring system that provides daily alert notices that reflect any and all microcircuit and semiconductor device source changes and automatically relates the alert notice to equipment impact. This data base must be accessible on an IBM or Compatible Personal Computer with a hard disk drive and color monitor, a 2400 BAUD or 9600 BAUD V.32 modem or via Internet. Despite the Air Force's intent to solicit only TACTech, Inc., any firm that believes it can meet the above requirements should respond to the above address in writing within fifteen (15) days of this notice.
