February 28, 1996, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) solicited commercial
sources for demonstrations of existing oil spill management systems.
Respondents' systems were evaluated for effectiveness and efficiency to
serve as a foundation for the Pollution Incident Simulation, Control,
and Evaluation System (PISCES) and for the magnitude of modifications
required to meet PISCES requirements. The results of the evaluation
were used to qualify respondents to receive a RFP for the procurement
of a prototype of the PISCES. The demonstrations occurred at the USCG
Research and Development Center in Groton, CT during the week of
3/29/96. The following respondents were found qualified to receive an
