The Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for hazardous materials remediation of the Monite explosives factory site at Sparks, Nevada. Interested offerors may propose either utilization of the ''Hawthorne'' method or ''on-site'' remediation including but not limited to any method that is of a proven technology listed in the EECA to obtain desired results. All interested firms are advised that in the event the quantity of soil to be removed is in excess of that originally specified, any increased quantities necessary to accomplish the end remediation will be negotiated only with the successful offeror and included in that contract. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8744. The solicitation will include a phase I price schedule and an optional schedule for phase II and phase III. Only one contract award is anticipated. The solicitation should be issued on or about mid-May 1996. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. See Numbered Note a. (0120)
