Proposers should offer commercially available items or commercially available items with minor modifications. Evidence of past performance is required. The requirement for the damage control folding ladder are based generally on ASN A14.1, A14.2 and A14.5. The requirement for the heat sensor label is in NFPA 1931, 1994 edition and is suitable particularly aboard ship where the ladders are stowed within the same structure where the ladder may be required to be used after exposure to the heat of a fire is the vicinity of the stowage location. The weight limited is the ASTM F1166 recommended design weight limit for a package with irregular sides. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
