The Air Force Flight Test Center has an immediate requirement for an Asphalt Pothole Patcher. The Asphalt Pothole Patcher must meet the following specifications: (1) General: The asphalt aggregate materials are heated by heat induction through the use of heat transfer oil. (2) Body Insulation: The asphalt aggregate hopper, road oil tank and heat transfer oil tank are fully insulated with 2'' industrial, high temperature insulation encased in a double steel jacket, and has a hydralic operated BI fold metal doors. (3) Capacity: The asphalt aggregate hopper holds 6 cubic yards level full or 9 tons maximum load. (4) Heating Systems: The heat transfer oil tank and asphalt aggregate hopper shall be heated by a submerged retort tube with a vertical exhaust stack. The burner is a 2 stage 350,000 BTU vapor propane that is thermostat controlled and regulated to light on 5 PSI and advance to a 10 PSI high burn. The ignition system is 12 volt DC with electronic ignitor. Gas burner has a safety shut-off on loss of flame or excessive temperature. (5) Liquid Asphalt Oil Tank Capacity: The tank capacity is 120 gallons. (6) Heat Transfer Oil System: Tank capacity 240 gallons with a 1'' circulating pump. (7) Electrical Heating System: The asphalt aggregate hopper and liquid asphalt oil tank is heated by a 230 volt, 62 kw immersion heater, thermostat controlled with 25' of cord. The heating system is capable of maintaining heated material up to 300 degrees during non-working hours. (8) Fuel: 100 lb (25 gallon) removable propane bottle, complete with hose and 10 PSI regulator valve. (9) Hand Torch: The unit has a propane 200,000 BTU hand torch with shut-off valve and 10' of hose. (10) Pavement Breaker: The standard unit is equipped with a Stanley BR45 pavement breaker. (11) Liquid Asphalt Oil Pump: A hydraulically driven, 11/2'' self priming, variable speed, reversible, rotary gear pump with relief valve, 100 PSI, 20 GPM at 1200 RPM. (12) Liquid Asphalt Hand Sprayer: A 5' x 3/8 wand, equipped with fan nozzle and Deadman control valve. (13) Hydraulic Pump: The pump is gear type, variable speed rated at 12 GPM and has an operating pressure of 2000 PSI at 900 RPM. (14) Asphalt Agitator: The agitator shaft is built into the premix hopper and designed to break up asphalt bridging due to vibratory compaction. (15) Diesel Flush Storage Tank: An 18 gallon capacity tank, equipped with a 12 volt DC pump and a hand sprayer for cleaning tools and units. (16) Trailer: Shall be a tandem axle, dual wheel with dual 20,000 lb electric axles. Shall have eight (8) 12 ply tires and an adjustable height pintle hitch eye. (17) Must furnish two parts, and service manuals. The Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) will be used in awarding this contract by written quotation. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business, SIC code 3531; size standard 750 employees.
