Contracting Officer, AMSEL-AC-CC-C-CS(FHV), 908/532-1984. Battlefield
Combat Identification System (BCIS) sole source acquisition to provide
BCIS identification capability for rotary and fixed wing aircraft
applications (POD Phase II). This effort will include the fabrication,
assembly, integrations, installation, testing, and evaluation of
BCIS-POD systems on said aircraft. Approximately four (4) rotary and
two (2) fixed wing BCIS-POD systems will be acquired. The U.S. Army
CECOM proposed to negotiate a noncompetitive Cost-Plus-Award-Fee,
additional work contract modification, with TRW, Inc., Space &
Electronics Group, Redondo Beach, California under the authority of 10
U.S. C. 2304(c)(1). A competitive technical data package is currently
not available. TRW is the prime contractor for the development (both
hardware and software), fabrication, integration, test and contractor
logistics support for the current EMD BCIS Models. The performance
specification and technical requirements essential to maintain the EMD
BCIS equipment is not available to the government. The data is
provided solely for informational purposes and should not be relied
