The USDA Food and Consumer Service intends to issue a competitive procurement on or about 24 May 1996 for advisory and assistance services to conduct a study to collect information needed to address current policy issues including those associated with the School Meals Initiative for Healthy Children and Team Nutrition. The study is designed to collect data from a nationally representative sample of school food authorities (SFAs). It is intended to issue a contract for a base year of data collection (school year 1997-98) with options for an additional two years of data collection. The estimated level of effort for the base contract is 5 person years over a period of 29 calendar months.
