B -- VOC SCRUBBING SYSTEM SOL F04699-96-R-0128 DUE 061796 POC For copy, contact the info office indicated., For additional information contact Calderone.P1j/Pkop/916-643-0741 McClellan AFB CA is seeking sources to provide a VOC scrubbing system for an existing 36,000 square foot aircraft washrack/depaint facility. Only sources who have installed systems proven to meet the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for aerospace manufacturing and rework facilities performing chemical depainting operations (CFR 63.746) and certified as meeting Best Available Control Technology for VOC emissions control will be considered. The equipment must provide a ventilation and air pollution control system which will capture and destroy VOC, toxic and particulate emissions from current chemical paint stripping operations and potential spray painting operations. Typical depaint chemicals include methylene chloride, toluene, xylene, phenol, benzyl and alcohol. The control system shall be capable of operating over a wide range of airflows and pollutant concentrations with rapid load changes. The associated ventilation system shall be designed to maintain year around temperatures between 65 and 95 degrees fahrenheit. Efficient use of utilities is desirable. Evidence of having successfully designed, installed and operated air pollution control systems in facilities equal to or larger than the McClellan facility must be included with the request in order to be added to the source list. Those not submitting evidence will be assumed to be interested only as subcontractors and will not be added to the source list. To be assured inclusion on the source list responses must be received by 15 May 1996. The approximate issue/response date will be 16 May 96. No telephone requests.
