R -- EDUCATIONAL SERVICES SOL DAKF40-96-R-0021 DUE 080196 POC Contract Specialist CPT ALICE RHODIE (910) 396-4362 X222 (Site Code DAKF40) Provide full educational services for Exceptional Children (handicapped), in grades K through 9 who reside within the boundaries of Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. The period of the contract is to begin in August 1996 for an indefinite time, not to exceed five (5) years. Services must be in accordance with all Federal and State regulations. The following types of handicapped conditions may be encountered: hearing impaired, vision impaired, behaviorally/emotionally handicapped, trainable mentally handicapped, severely profoundly handicapped, autistically handicapped, and orthopedically handicapped. Other conditions may be encountered. The number of students will vary. The contractor must provide all resources necessary including but not limited to: facilities, instructors, instructors aids, testing service, development of individual education plans, specialty equipment, and re-evaluation of student educational plans. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a notice of intent to place a Basic Ordering Agreement with the Cumberland County School System, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Response to this notice will be used to determine whether bona fide competition exists and whether a formal solicitation is appropriate. Written responses, which include prices and sufficient technical data to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received by this office within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that comparable sources more advantageous to the Government are available, an order will be placed with the Cumberland County School System, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
