Scope of work consists of but is not limited to providing all material, equipment, services and labor required to remove one (1) 100 Ton hot water absorption chiller and cooling tower, and replace with two (2) water cooled reciprocating chillers, using R-22 refrigerant and sized to deliver 301 kW of chilling each, and one (1) new 301 kW cooling tower. Remove existing chilled water pump and condenser water pump, and piping, and replace with two (2) new chilled water pumps, and two (2) new condenser water pumps, and piping. Provide valved bypasses for crossover in case of pump failure. Provide new water treatment system and centrifugal separator for condenser water loop. Install new masonry wall and double doors for the chiller room and provide refrigerant sampling vapor system, and purge fan with controls for chiller room to meet requirements of ASHRAE 15 - 1992. Provide new controls for new chilled water system. Controls shall perform sequences of operations as noted on drawings. Existing controls are pneumatic, with control panel in basement. Restore and recalibrate existing pneumatic controls on existing variable volume boxes. New controls to be compatible with the Johnson Controls Metasys System to be installed by others. Work is to be done in the Federal Building in Saginaw, Michigan. The completion time for this project is Two Hundred Ten (210) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Specifications will be available on or about May 14, 1996. Offers are due June 13, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. (local time). This project is open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. Therefore, responses from both small and large business concerns will be considered and evaluated for selection. The Small Business Size Standard for this project is $7 million.
