The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1623 - Water, Sewer, Pipe Line, Communication and Power Line Construction. The size standard is $17.0 million. The work includes but is not limited to the following: replacing existing 6-inch and 8-inch water mains, and existing valves and fire hydrants with new 8-inch and 10-inch water mains, and new valves and fire hydrants in the Palmer Road North, NMRI, AFRRI, ROICC and Officers' Club areas, interconnecting existing systems in the ROICC and AFRRI areas, construction of a new 10-inch water main from the existing 12-inch water main near the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and running across an open grass area then along Perimeter Road to the new 10-inch water main at the intersection of the Perimeter Road and Grounds Road in the ROICC area, and cleaning and lining the existing 10-inch water main from Rockville Pike to Rixey Road and incidental related work.
