The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland 20670-5449 has a requirement for Heads Up Display signal data converter test sets and HUD software eraser/programmers in support of the CH-46E, CH-53E and CH-1 UHIN type model series aircrafts. Anticipate a firm-fixed price contract with a base year and one option year performance period beginning July 1996. Anticipate purchase of 12 signal data converter test sets for the CH-46E in the base year. Option quantities are as follows; 12 for CH-53E, 12 for CH-1 UHIN. Anticipate purchase of 2 eraser/programmers for the base year to be purchased for the CH-46E. Option quantities are as follows: 2 for CH-53E, 2 for CH-1 UHIN. The proposed contract is to be awarded to AEL Cross Systems pursuant to title 10 U.S.C 2304(C)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. AEL is the original designer and manufacturer of the HUD systems and is the only firm that possesses the technical data required to perform this effort. See numbered Note 22. (0122)
