C -- A/E DESIGN SERVICES DUE 060596 POC Contracting Officer, Laralee Horowitz, (718)630-3568, Additional Contact, Fax No., (718)630-2969 Furnish A/E Design Services for Ambulatory Surgery/SICU. Provice all necessary A/E services for the renovation of the Surgical Department including Ambulatory Surgery and SICU - Project No. 527-301, at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. The A/E shall provide all services necessary for preparation of a complete design development submission. Work shall include a) Verification of existing As-built drawing b) Review of concept drawings c) Design/Development preparation d) Provide a critical utility system survey and report e) Prepare a detailed cost estimate as per each review f) Provide a CIH for asbestos survey of construction area and report. The design development will take into account phasing for constructibility/operational purposes. Upon completion of design development, the A/E shall provide the following services for contract documents and construction period services a) Complete contract drawings and specifications for construction b) Detailed cost estimate c) Asbestos abatement drawings and all necessary abatement documents prepared by a CIH d) Construction period services including submittal review; answering inquiries and construction inspection site trips e) Provide services of CIH to perform asbestos abatement air monitoring during construction f) Prepare ''As-Built'' drawings from contractor's marked up originals. This is not a total small business set-aside. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8712, Architectural Services (Other than Naval).
