Patton, (907) 228-6240. The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for precommercial thinning of up to 1275 acres of 15 to 20 year old conifer reproduction. Award will be made for a three year period, scheduling the thinning of 425 acres this year and a minimum of 300 acres for the next two years. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, housing, subsistence, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals. Work sites are located at Traitors Cove, Fire Cove, Shrimp Bay, and Chin Point in Southeast Alaska. The contract area is not accessible to Ketchikan, Alaska by road. Boat or air travel via floatplane are suggested forms of transportation. This project is 100% Small Business set-aside. Telephone requests for solicitation will not be honored.
