J -- JOINT TACTICAL INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM (JTIDS) MODULAR AIR OPERATIONS CENTER (MAOC) INTEGRATION/THEATER INTEGRATED SITUATION DISPLAY (JMI/TISD) T&M SUPPORT & MAINTENANCE CONTRACT SOL F19628-92-C-0145 POC Hugh McElaney, Contracting Negotiator, 617-271-8076; Robert Diminico, Contracting Officer, 617-271-8075. The Command and Control Systems Directorate of the Air Force Electronic Systems Center (ESC) plans to award a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for fifteen (15) months of JMI/TISD equipment support services (to include repair, sparing, telephone support, site support and software maintenance). There will be options for FY98 and FY99. The contractor shall furnish all facilities, parts material, services and other resources to maintain and support all items in accordance with JMI/TISD specifications. Majority of the work will be done at the contractor's facilities. Some on-site support at the Government facilities will be required. The Government intends to solicit only Comptek Federal Systems, Buffalo, NY, which has developed and furnished the JMI/TISD hardware and software under Contract F19628-92-C-0145. Despite this stated intention, if any firm believes it can satisfy the above requirements, it should submit a qualification package to the above address no later than 15 days after the date of this publication. The package should describe in detail the prospective source's knowledge of and experience with the design and performance characteristics of JMI/TISD hardware and software. Current U.S. Secret and appropriate facility clearances are required. No reprocurement data are available. Authorization for prospective sole-source solicitation is found in FAR 6.302-1. Any offeror initially judged to be unqualified will be provided a copy of the solicitation on request and any subsequent offer submitted will be evaluated without prejudice.
