Hamel Contracting Officer or Jacqueline Borror Contract Specialist (314)260-1216 This Request for Information is to determine the level of interest in conducting prcise geodetic surveys in the continental United States (CONUS) at DoD owned precise measurement equipment laboratoies and airfields and at other CONUS sites supporting DoD operations. Survey capabilities must include determination of: (1) Geodetic positions, in latitude and longitude, degrees, minutes, and seconds, with reference to the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS 84); (2) Elevation in meters with reference to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and the WGS 84 geoid; (3) Point gravity information in milligals with reference to the International Gravity Standardization Net of 1971; (4) Astronomic azimuth in degrees, minutes, and seconds; and (5) Astrogeodetic determination of deflections of the vertical in arc minutes and seconds. These data are often needed inside aircraft hangars or other laboratory facilities requiring precise transfer from surveyed sites outside the buildings. Responses are due not later than 31 May 1996.
