The hardware is also included as part of the group. The wing assembly consists of a panel assembly, four wings and a collar. The wing assembly provides the aerodynamic stabilization necessary to maneuver the bomb during guidance. The forward adapter components consist of the forward adapter assembly, and the necessary hardware to provide an interface between the control section (CS) and the bomb. The four fins are single units attached to the control shafts in the control unit in the CS. Torque on these shafts, upon instruction from the computer section, moves the fins which act against the airstream to control the action and movement of the guided bomb.
