37 -- AEROSOL PESTICIDE GENERATOR WITH CONTAINER SOL DAMD17-96-R-0028 DUE 061796 POC Contract Specialist Joan Wilson (301) 619-2387 (Site Code DAMD17) Purchase and delivery of thirty-two (32) aerosol pesticide generators, thirty-two (32) containers for aerosol pesticide generators, and two (2) each operation and maintenance manuals per generator. The aerosol generator shall be an all electric aerosol generator that utilizes a high speed (greater than 25,000 rpm) porous rotary atomizer spray head to produce pesticide droplets for the control of anthropod disease vectors and pest insects. The generator shall be designed to be mounted in the bed of a vehicle during spraying and shall be powered by a 12-volt deep discharge cycle battery and the vehicle electrical system. The electrical circuit shall incorporate a remote control box to allow operation from the cab of the vehicle. The pump shall be a piston pump powered by a 12-volt D.C. motor. The insecticide tank shall be made of polyethylene or similar insecticide resistant plastic and shall have a capacity between 3 and 7 gallons. The sprayer, without battery or insecticide and flush agent, shall not weight more than 150 pounds and shall have a volume of no more than 12 cubic feet. The aerosol generator shall be packaged for shipment in a reusable container with cushioning, blocking and bracing to enable safe delivery to the Medical Maintenance Operations Division, PA, Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA within sixty (60) calendar days after date of contract.
