B -- PLUME MODEL SOL SOL R6-96-801 DUE 052496 POC Contact, Procurement and Property Management, 503/326-3581 The USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Region, intends to award a sole source contract to Oregon State University, Dr. Warren Web, for the purpose of continued development and validation of a plume model to determine horizontal, vertical, and crosswind movement of eluted semiochemicals in a stand atmosphere. This includes measuring pheromone plumes emitted from standing attacked trees to estimate atmospheric concentrations effective in repelling bark beetles. It also includes finalizing, in a FHP report or Journal Format, the results of the Lonnie Sower MCH and verbenone Bubble Cap and Bead Elution Study. See Note 22. (0123)
