DESCRIPTION OF WORK--The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required to complete a building to house a telescope, including electrical systems, a pedestrian bridge and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $250,000 and $500,000.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 150 calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office.--A fee will be charged for all plans and specs. Each set will cost $14.36.
