29 -- FUEL TRANSFER PUMP Sol AG306. POC Art Gallegos. Sources SOught Synopsis: This is Not a Solicitation. The Small Business Office, SA-ALC/BC, is seeking to develop alternate sources for the following equipment: Noun: Fuel Transfer Pump; NSN: 2915-01-418-0072AZ; P/N: 6161-20(J.C. Carter); Application: KC-135 Aircraft. Potential vendors must meet the established qualification requirements prior to contract award. Contract award will not be delayed in order to provide a potential offeror with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to meet the qualification requirements. We forecast a requirement for approximately 1400 pumps over a three year period with first deliveries required Aug 99. Few future requirements are anticipated. The pump shall be a hydraulic-driven centrifugal pump for use in Type I nominal 3000 psig hydraulic system. The pump shall supply fuel to the aerial refueling manifold for transfer from the tanker aircraft to receiver aircraft during aerial refueling operations through either the boom or pods. The pump shall also be used to supply fuel to the engines during tank-to-engine feed operations and to transfer fuel from tank-to tank during ground and flight operations. The pump shall be used in three flow configurations: high flow, low flow and scavenge. Qualification will required Boeing certification, at vendor cost, and USAF approval. The successful offeror will be a responsible vendor who offers the best value to the USAF in terms of price, delivery schedule and warranty.
