The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) plans to increase the contract hours of the incumbent provider to acquire specialized technical and professional services. These services are necessary to assist in the successful completion and implementation of PBGC's Trust Accounting System and Core Financial Systems. This is a continuation of work already undertaken by the existing provider. The provider has capabilities and knowledge gained from providing expertise on SGL accounting structures, configuration of the Oracle General Ledger at PBGC and conversion of data from SGL to the new Trust Accounting system. In view of the provider's familiarity with the complexities of PBGC trust accounting, Oracle general ledger for Trust and Standard General Ledger, and financial information networking needs, it is PBGC's belief that the provider is uniquely qualified to perform the duties of the contract.
