SYMPOSIUM'' ``Partnering to Preserve Our Future'' is the premise for
the 3rd Annual Product Shelf-Life Symposium, June 18-20, 1996, to be
held at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers, Harrisburg, PA. This event,
sponsored by Defense Logistics Agency, Naval Inventory Control Point,
and SEDA-Council of Governments' Procurement Technical Assistance
Center, is a national government and industry forum on critical issues
associated with product shelf-life. Speakers include representatives
from the Department of the Navy, Army, Air Force, Defense Logistics
Agency, and from private industry. Conference fee for this event is
$185 per person ($145 per person government rate). Fee includes all
materials, breaks, continental breakfasts, and lunches. Speaker
presentations include the following key topics: Electronic Commerce;
Commercial Bar Coding; DOD/FDA Extension Program for Pharmaceuticals;
Alternative Automotive Antifreeze and Recycling Systems; PHS&T for the
Antarctic; Solid Waste Management (Navy PRIME Program); Foreign
Military Sales; Innovations concerning Packaging Materials; Tape Sealed
Bag; Sealants; Nitrogen Purging Packaging System; DOD Training; and
sub-committee status reports for commodities of batteries, POLs,
