Y -- COMBUSTION RESEARCH FACILITY (CRF) PHASE II BUILDING 905 ADDITION Sol. LD-9321. Due 061296. Contact: Jamie Morris, (510) 294-1202, Sandia Contracting Representative. The Building 905 Addition shall be an 11,100 square foot two-story office wing extended to the north of the existing building. It shall consist of a slab-on-grade, steel framed structure with metal panel curtain walls, second floor cellular metal decking with concrete fill, and an insulated metal deck roof with built-up roofing. The Building 905 Addition shall include an exterior emergency exit stairwell, solar insulated glass exterior windows, metal stud with painted gypsum board interior partitions, doors and frames, suspended acoustical ceilings, and carpet-tiled floors. Roof-mounted air handling equipment will provide heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. Building systems such as power distribution, communications, lighting, security alarms, fire alarms, automatic fire sprinklers, piping and plumbing will be modified and extended to the Building 905 Addition. Contractors shall have proven capability with this type of construction and will be required to submit a description of three office building construction projects successfully completed by the Contractor. Description shall include general scope, schedule, and cost, plus owner references for verification. Each Project must exceed 5,000 square feet, six month duration, and $1,000,000.00. In addition, Contractors will be required to submit a Critical Path Method Progress Schedule from one of the completed projects, including CPM Network Diagram and Detailed Bar Chart. Schedule must show critical path, have over 100 tasks, and a duration of at least six months. Owner reference will be required for verification. Lastly, Contractors will be required to submit a detailed description of their employee worksite safety and health orientation program. This construction project will be set aside for small businesses. Qualified Contractors interested in receiving a bid package must submit a request in writing. No telephone requests will be accepted.
