This acquisition is to support possible construction projects at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, Los Alamitos, California. A minimum of $5,000 in work will be guaranteed, with a maximum of $5,000,000. Award will be for a one year base period with four year options. Bid issue date will be on/or about 20 May 1996. A Pre-Bid Conference explaining Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity will be held. Bid opening date is scheduled for on or about 27 June 1996. The contract will be a firm fixed price award based on the lowest coefficient bid. A coefficient is a numerical factor representing the contractor's indirect costs and profit; it does not include unit prices in the unit price books. Coefficients proposed by offerors are multiplied by the established unit prices in the unit price books. The unit price books used will be the 1996 Means Facilities Cost Data; the 1996 Means Building Cost Data; the 1996 Means Concrete Cost Data; the 1996 Means Mechanical Cost Data; the 1996 Means Electrical Cost Data; the 1996 Means Repair and Remodeling Cost Data; and the 1996 Means Site Work Cost Data. These editions will be updated annual and used for the duration of the proposed acquisition. Copies of these unit price books will not be provided by the Government. It is the responsibility of each bidder to obtain their own copies of these books. Copies of these unit price books may be purchased from R.S.
