Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT, REPAIR & ALTERATION PROJECTS, PROVIDENCE DISTRICT SOL 082530-96-A-0081 DUE 060496 POC Clement Schulze, Project Manager (860) 285-7228. On or about Tuesday, May 7, 1996, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300 will issue Solicitation No. 082530-96-A-0081 for an indefinite quantity construction contract within the Providence District Office (State of Rhode Island, and the Counties of Barnstable, Bristol, Nantucket, Dukes, Norfolk, and Plymouth in the State of Massachusetts). Sealed offers are due prior to, but not later than 4:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, June 4, 1996. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until after award of the contract is made. The terms of the contract will be for two years. Work will be defined on work orders issued, as required, for various amounts and types. Initial contract value is $200,000.00. Total contract value will not exceed $1,000,000.00 for two years. Categories of work are as follows: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, paving, roofing, painting, and architectural barriers compliance work. The work may be performed at various owned and leased postal facilities within the geographic area noted above. A proposal guarantee will not be required. Performance and payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror. Initially a $200,000.00 performance bond is required and a $100,000.00 payment bond. (As the total value of the work orders exceed $200,000.00, additional bonding will be required.) A preproposal conference, to discuss the specifics of this project, will be held on Thursday, May 23, 1996 at 181 Corliss Street, Providence, Rhode Island beginning at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly suggested. Proposal documents and specifications may be purchased for $30.00 per set from the Support Service Team, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300. Make certified check or money order payable to Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal Service. (Charge includes the cost of mailing. Cash will not be accepted.)
