Casswell, Jr Tel: (410) 965-9490 The Social Security Administration (SSA) owns twenty-five (25) Fujitsu Communication's Model F9600VS digital telecommunications switching systems and twenty-five (25) Centigram Communications VoiceMemo II Model 100 voice processing (voice mail) systems that are equipped with Centigram's Receptionist II automated attendant software. Ten (10) Fujitsu/Centigram system configurations are installed at the Great Lakes Program Service Center (GLPSC) located at the Harold Washington Social Security Center (HWSSC), 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, IL, and fifteen (15) Fujitsu/Centigram system configurations are installed at the SSA Mid-America Program Service Center (MAMPSC) located in the Federal building at 601 East Twelfth Street, Kansas City, MO. The SSA intends to restructure the multiple Fujitsu F9600VS telecommunications/voice processing systems configurations into one single telecommunications platform at each PSC location that has capacity for 3,000 lines. The FIPS resource restructuring strategy that will be employed is designed to retain the imbedded Fujitsu Communications FIPS resources to the extent possible such as telephone sets, ancillary devices, wiring, station cards and trunk cards while consolidating the multiple system cabinets into one single system platform. This strategy will limit the system compatibility to the Fujitsu Communications F9600 digital telecommunications product line. The SSA intends to acquire a multi-year firm fixed price contract which will provide a full time (eight hours per day - 40 hours per week) on-site (resident) Customer Support Engineer at each PSC who is highly skilled in technical project management and technically certified by the equipment manufacturers to perform the required engineering, installation and maintenance services on all installed telecommunications equipment located at the PSC's. The contractor shall provide engineering, labor, wiring, installation, on-site spare parts, documentation and training for all system and station hardware, software, firmware growth and equipment rearrangements (moves, adds and changes) at each PSC location over the term of the contract. Only written requests for solicitation number SSA-RFP-96-2651 will be accepted 21 days from the date of this publication. Fascimilie requests may be sent to (410) 965-9560. The RFP is scheduled for release on or after May 22, 1996 with proposals due 30 days after issuance of the RFP. The resultant contract will contain a basic one year period with Six (6) one year options periods. The Government will consider all offers from responsible sources. See Note 12. (0128)
