The Alaska Native Medical Center intends to enter into a sole source multi-year lease/purchase agreement with Loral Corporate Headquarters at 2501 N Barrington Road, Huffman Estates, Illinois 60195-2061 to acquire a Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS) with Computed Radiography (CR) capability which would enable our facility to perform teleradiology, CR, ``softcopy interpretation'' of multi-modality images and ``filmless'' image display, distribution and storage. There are no other known vendors which can fulfill our PACS/CR requirements. The PACS and CR system shall meet all requirements specified by the ANMC in a document called ``ANMC PACS and CR Requirements.''
