amends the sources sought synopsis which appeared on Monday 22 April
1996. The requirement for a mandatory site visit is deleted. All
vendors are still encouraged to make a site visit to the museum. The
response date of 17 May 1996 is changed to 24 May 1996. Regarding the
system, the museum has clarified that they require all of the books,
magazines, blueprints, photographs, documents, motion pictures and film
chips catalogued on the system, however, only the photographs and
documents are required to be digitized and transferred in system
memory. The museum estimates their network memory requirement at
approximately 200 gigabytes. This synopsis is intended to assist the
USN Submarine Force Museum in conduct market research of commercial
items in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Navy intends to use
simplified acquisition procedures to accomplish the resultant
