41 -- REPLACE 40-TON CHILLER AT U.S. COAST GUARD STATION, DESTIN, FL SOL DTCG82-96-P-3WCP70. Contact Point: Berta C. Gomez (305) 536-5646. This is a combined synopsis/request for solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DTCG82-96-P-3WCP70. This synopsis/solicitation constitutes an information for bid and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. There are no set-asides, SIC codes or business size standards applicable. This acquisition is for the furnishing and installation of one 40-ton chiller, Carrier Model 30GT045-5 or equal, meeting the following specifications: (1) Air-cooled water chiller, (2) Capable of cooling 71 gpm (water) from 53.3 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit degrees at 95 degrees ambient using 208 Volts 3-phase electrical service, (3) R-22 or other refrigerant having an Ozone Depletion Factor (ODF) of 0.05 or less, (4) Capacity control to 33 percent respectively of full-load capacity without cycling operating compressor, (5) Installation and startup tests, (6) Two-inch thick cellular glass insulation with aluminum jacketing on disturbed piping, including valves, and (7) Removal and disposal of existing chiller. The required completion date shall be within 21 calendar days after acceptance or order. Acceptance shall be at destination after the unit has been properly installed.
