H. keith NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) ALUMINUM TEST PANELS, PRIMED AND PAINTED -- NASA/MSFC intends to purchase from Machine Craft, Inc., Huntsville, AL Southland Precision Inc., Brownsboro, Alabama, Santek Engineering Inc., Guntersville, AL or Campbell Engineering, Huntsville, AL the following items:Aluminum Test Panels -- 24'' by 24'' by 0.125'', 6061-T6 Aluminum per QQ-A-250/11, material certification shall be provided. Drill 2 ea., 9/32+ - 0.0156'' holes, with centerline 3/8+-0.0156'' from top and side edge of each top corner, remove burrs and break all sharp edges. Panels to be cleaned and conversion coated with irridite 14-2 per mill-c-5541. Paint one side only using deft primer 44-GN-7 (1 to 1.5 mils), deft topcoat 03-W127A (2 to 3 mils), wrap each panel indiviually in paper. Quantity -- 250 ea.--Item 2.--Aluminum Test Panels, 24'' by 24'' by 0.250'',229-T87 Aluminum per QQ-A-250/30, material certification shall be provided. Drill 2 ea., 9/32+ -0.0156'' holes, with centerline 3/8'' + -0.0156 from top and side edge of each top corner. Remove burrs and break all sharp edges. Panels to be cleaned and conversion coated with irridite 14-2 per mil-c-5541. Paint one side only using deft primer 44-GN-7 (1 to 1.5 Mils) and deft topcoat 03-W-127A 2 to 3 mils). Wrap each panel indiviually in paper.--Quantity-- 180--ea.--This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) -- Note: This procurement is sole- source based on, predominant experience, which encompasses that all prospective vendors must pass the associated Quality Assurance requirements and must be stamped as acceptable by a qualified QC inspector.
