66 -- SCANNING LASER VIBROMETER SYSTEM SOL DACW39-96-R-0020 DUE 051596 POC Contract Specialist JACK LITTLE (601) 634-3175 (Site Code DACW39) 17. A non-contacting laser scanning measurement system capable of acquiring data for use in quantitative modal analysis. The system is to automatically correct line of sight measurements for the angle of the laser so that the true normal velocity to the measurement surface is calculated. The system is to locate its position with respect to a pre-described set of measurement locations. Description of these measurement locations will use ASCII files of point geometries and numbers. Automatic scanning controls of these measurement locations are to be performed during testing. A manual scanning and positioning mode are to be available and also controlled by this same ASCII file. The system must be capable of automatic and seamless storage of data in ASCII and binary formats as well as direct storage of I-DEAS Associated data Function Files (AFU'S). Data storage types include but are not limited to: time, spectra, frequency response functions, coherence, autospectral density functions, and other spectral and system identification measurement functions. The laser is to be a Class II laser and have data acquisition capabilities from DC to 100 KHz with a working distance of up to 200 meters. The laser scanning and positioning is to be controlled from the workstation. The software is to be capable of testing log setup and storage, control of signal to shakers for structure excitation, signal processing control and data storage. The capability to link to a local ethernet is also required. See Note 1. Solicitation No. DACW39-96-R-0020 will open on or about 18 June 1996.
