70 -- FLASH MEMORY CARDS SOL N00253-96-R-0017 POC Contact Point: Victor Angkico, 360-396-5671 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Keyport intends to solicite utilizing the policies and procedures found in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, 432 each, 40 megabyte Solid State Flash Memory Cards. The Flash Memory Cards shall comply with the PCMCIA-ATA industry standard and be 100% compatible with DOS and other operating systems, utilites, and application programs supporting IDE Disk Drives. They shall have an operating temperature range of 0 degrees C to +60 degrees C. Non-operating temperature range shall be -25 degrees C to +85 degrees C. The physical characteristics of the cards shall be as follows: length (85.6mm + or - 0.20mm), Width (54.0mm + or - 0.10mm), Thickness (5.0mm max), Weight (43 grams max). These physical dimensions are required as the cards must fit into memory board circuits of exercise electronic assemblies of the ADCAP Torpedo ''Super Fleet Exercise Section''. At the time of closing all offerors, other than those who have previously delivered to the government acceptable units, must provide with their proposal a ''bid sample'' of eight cards. These bid samples will be placed into a government developed test fixture to ensure compliance with the specifications. All data will be erased after testing and the samples will be returned to the contractor. Delivery of 300 each will be required 30 days after contract award with the remaining 132 each to be delivered 60 days after contract award.
