This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ96C-39 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following brand name equipment: AT&T 8110 AO1C Analog Telephone Sets 175 each; AT&T 7406 Plus Terminal Sets 50 each; and AT&T 7444 Terminal Sets with Power Supply's 10 each. All items shall be delivered within 30 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). FOB Destination: Library of Congress/Receiving, James Madison Memorial Building, 100 Block ''C'' Street, S.E., Washington, D.C. 20540. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial and 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress; 52.233-1, Disputes; 52.232-25, Prompt Payments. These clauses shall be available upon written request.) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with its offer.
