Announcement The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL),
operated by the University of California under contract with the U.S.
Department of Energy, is seeking partnerships with industry on a
silicon-based, sleeve-type chemical reaction chamber, which can be used
to perform microscale chemical reactions involving precise control of
reaction conditions. Multiple reaction chambers, each under separate
control, can be configured in large arrays to produce a versatile,
high-throughput micro reaction unit. LLNL is seeking industry partners
interested in licensing this technology or in collaborating on its
further development. To obtain a license to this technology, interested
companies should respond to this announcement in writing. Corporate
contributions to a collaboration with LLNL can be in the form of
funding, personnel, or equipment used within the company, equipment and
contributions made directly to LLNL, or a combination of these options.
Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) are structured
to offer partner companies the opportunity to license technologies
developed during the CRADA. All projects are conducted under strict
policies governing nondisclosure of company proprietary information.
