Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding
a contract to collect, prepare, package, store, and ship plasma
samples for use in evaluating the performance of laboratories that
perform viral load testing including, for example, p24 antigen (Ag)
testing, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) Ag testing, reverse
transcriptase (RT) based polymerase chain reaction (PCR), branched
deoxyribonucleic acid (bDNA) PCR, and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-PCR.
The anticipated contract period of performance is for 30 months.
Written requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored if
received within 15 days of the RFP issue date which will be on or about
May 25, 1996. Requests received after that date will be filled on a
limited first-come-first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
The date specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days
after the RFP issue date. Requests for the RFP must specify the RFP
