Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation and any incidentals necessary to decommission 3.4 miles on Forest Service Road 17N01 on the Smith River National Recreation Area, Gasquet Ranger District, Six Rivers National Forest. The work will include temporary road building, clearing, ripping of the roadbed, excavating road fills and placing the waste on the road and outsloping, construction of water drainage channels, water bar and rolling dip construction, removal of culverts and a log stringer bridge, installation of an earthmound-log barrier and the distribution of straw mulch and seed. This solicitation should be issued on or about May 31, 1996. Requests should be submitted no later than June 15, 1996. This procurement is totally set aside for small business concerns AND should the waiver for ``Jobs in the Woods'' be approved, competition will be limited to specific counties. (127)
