The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC) is seeking information from companies or government agencies that supply ALKALINE CLEANER RECYCLING SYSTEMS designed for continuous purification and BATCH mode recovery of high temperature alkaline degreasing solutions for reuse. NFESC is NOT seeking information on laboratory or bench scale systems in this Sources Sought. We are particularly seeking information on technologies that have been fully demonstrated that can be scaled or modified appropriately for the Navy's use at multiple bases. In addition, the Navy requires that the recycling units must ensure operation can be safely used in the hands of semi-skilled workers. Respondents should provide the following information about their Alkaline Cleaner Recycling Units: Name and address of company, company point of contact with telephone and facsimile number, narrative description of process, a process flow diagram, system's performance expressed in flux as gallons of permeate production per feet squared of membrane surface area per day (gsfd), list of alkaline cleaner solutions tested, construction materials, and the unit's maintenance, utility, and space requirements. In the process narrative, NFESC is particularly intested in the unit's life span of critical components, surfactant losses experienced during operation, and operating characteristics including temperature and pH ranges and pressure. It is requested that all proprietary information that is not to be disseminated in Government documents be clearly identified as such.
